If your business is welding, Joule’s Law is worth remembering:
Joule’s Law decides if the welds on your customer’s parts look this:
Or this:
Instead of this:
And this:
Why? Heat. Resistance to current creates heat. Heat burns and deforms your parts. The longer the parts are exposed to high temperatures and the longer it takes for them to cool, the worse your results.
Too much heat for too long means burnt parts, sheet separation, bad welds, and time wasted on finishing to make your product presentable. This costs you money and maybe even customers, but it doesn’t have to.
More power = less resistance = better welds
You can’t eliminate resistance in your welding process, but you can control the weld force. Greater force = less resistance = less heat = better parts.
Koyo Giken solves this problem with their inverter power supplies. The MySpot welder is so efficient that their 40 kVA models use half the energy to generate 12,000A compared to less efficient 80 kVA welders rated for less with a much greater energy expenditure.
Want better parts? Speed up your welds.
High speed technology is another MySpot innovation that reduces welding time to 1/1000 second bursts with 1/15 to 1/20 of the energizing time of conventional resistance welders. Less current and more power means less heat:
Less heat means better parts and happier customers:
The new line of MySpot NK-23 spot welders come standard with high-speed technology and 3.8 kN weld force for customers who demand the best welds in the industry.
